As Prague has become an incredible popular travel destination for holidays and business, it is no surprise that the city's airport has to manage a large number of flights to Europe and from overseas. There are excellent passenger facilities within the two terminals of Prague Ruzyně Airport. These include a bureau de change, ATMs (cash machines), cafes, restaurants, fast-food outlets, bars and a shopping area that features both popular and exclusive names selling everything, including duty-free. For the business traveler, there are private conference rooms available for use as well as a press rom in the North Terminal.For those looking to rent a car on arrival in Prague, there are a number of car rental companies represented at Prague Ruzyne Airport. These include Sixt, Europcar, Alamo (National), Budget, Avis, Hertz, CS-Czechocar and Dvořák. At Prague Ruzyně Airport, car parking facilities include both short-term parking and long-term parking directly in front of the North Terminal. Prague Airport TransferAfter you arrive at the Prague airport and you need to transfer so you can get out of the airplane, you have a number of different possibilities to travel to your final destination.The Prague airport is connected by two bus lines: Bus 119 and Bus 100. Taking the bus is certainly one of the most inexpensive manner in order to transfer from and to the Prague airport. Travel with the bus 119 if you would like to go directly into the historical city center. The old part of downtown Prague which is the area around the Prague castle. Since this bus line connects to the Metro A it offers a fast ride downtown within couple of minutes. It will take you 2 to 5 stops only depending of course on your specific travel destination. The costs to travel with either of those two busses will be around 20 Kč which is less then a 1 dollar/ euro. Alternatively you can also ask for the ticket directly at the bus but might costs then slightly more. From Ruzyně to Dejvická on bus 119: The Prague airport transfer from Ruzyně to the Metro Station Dejvická metro A takes 20 minutes and there is one train every 7 minutes. Travel from the Prague airport to the city center: The bus 119 shuttles between 4:25 and 23:40 and goes from platform 2 next to the arrivals. It drives to the Dejvická underground station (last stop). From there you can use the underground system with the same ticket within the validity period. Travel from the city center to the Prague airport: Take the Underground to Dejvická (line A). Then the bus 119 you will find right next to the metro station starting from 4:52 in the morning until 0:18 after midnight. Last stop is the Prague airport. Transfer from Ruzyně to Zličín on bus 100: The Bus 100 connects the airport Ruzyně with the metro station Zličín (line B). During the day the bus departures every 15 minutes and from 19:00 on every 30 minutes. The trip takes 15 minutes. Travel from the airport to the city: Bus 100 shuttles between 5:45 o'clock to 23:39 o'clock and ends at the metro station Zličín. From there you can continue using the metro with the same ticket within it’s validity period. Travel another 20 minutes by this metro and you will arrive at the Prague city center. Travel from the city to the airport: Take the metro to Zličín (line B) and then to bus 100, which operates from 5:30 o'clock to 23:50 o'clock. The airport is the last stop. Travel Prague by Taxi: To travel by taxi is probably the most comfortable way to arrive at your destination and enjoying your trip to Prague. However it is not only the most expensive way to travel Prague but the most likely where the notorious tourist trap strikes against you and the taxi driver will rip you off. It is a good advise if you want to take a taxi from the airport, then you should arrange it with your hotel in advance. Most Prague hotels employ friendly pick up services with kind and reliable drivers speaking English. Otherwise you can call a taxi by telephone choosing a taxi service from a designated list of recommended companies you can get from any tourism office. Should you still want to travel with one of the taxis waiting in front of the airport, you should negotiate the price with the driver before entering the taxi. To travel by taxi from the airport the Prague city center should not costs you more then approximately 600 Kč (2 Euro / 3 Dollar).
